Set the active document’s grid pattern and spacing in millimetres. Grid settings save with the document and stay fixed when zooming.
Distance between grid lines. Major lines appear every five cells.
Angle between radial spokes, centred on the document origin.

Object snaps take priority over the grid. Shift keeps drawing constraints.
